Poshlocket jewelry is electroplated with gold, rhodium, rose gold, and gunmetal finish.  Some are combinations of two or more of the above listed.  Most of our items are handcrafted and/or hand-assembled, so each individual pieces may vary slightly in size, color, and dimensions.  Please remember that this is costume/fashion jewelry. Do not use harsh jewelry cleaners that contain chemicals to clean the jewelry. Use a natural cleaner and do not leave soaking for more than 2-3 minutes.  We advise that you do NOT spray your perfume or hairspray on yourself after the jewelry has been put on. Hairspray and perfume can cause damage to even fine jewelry.  Jewelry made of lucite or inclusive of lucite pieces should be handled with extra care, for it is more delicate.   Jewelry that includes crystals and cubic stones should avoid collision and improper use to avoid any damage or falling off of crystals and stones.
